Akpala unimpressed with disallowed goal

 Club Brugge continued to falter in the play-off games, losing 1-2 to rivals Gent on Saturday. Saturday's loss was their third loss in five games.

Nigerian striker Joseph Akpala had a goal disallowed by match referee Sebastien Delferière, and he was fuming with anger after the match.

''The referee told me that it was offside. How can you be offside from a corner? I've never seen. I really see nothing wrong with the goal. This decision will cost us a point. Referee can make mistakes, but this is unacceptable in the playoffs,'' Akpala said in his post match comments.

Club Brugge are behind leaders Anderlecht by seven points. They are at home to Standard Liege on Tuesday.
