Your ATM Card De-activation Notification - Scam

Please watch out for the message below if you receive it. I received it today and it is a typical scam! Note that this message is neither from Central Bank of Nigeria nor from any bank in Nigeria.

The link (https: //www.cenbank. org/Protect/secure) was just used to deceive people with just hyperlink to fraudulent link (http: //www.cbninterswitchupdates. t35. com/).

Please share this message with your friends and relatives. Don't let them become victims of this nefarious act.

Your access to ATM CARD banking will be deactivated soon as agreed by the Bankers Union of Nigeria, you are therefore advised to apply for the new Verve chip and pin card which is more secured and approved by the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Please note that this is a compulsory application so as to secure all ATM Card users from fraud and theft. You are also advised to make sure all information entered are accurate and correct for your New CHIP AND PIN Card application to be received:

If you do not upgrade your account details within 48 hrs, you will be restricted from all transactions.
