Finally, the most beautiful girl in Nigeria has been chosen, her name is Miss Isabella Ayuk, 25 years old 5'11" from Cross Rivers state.

The winner went home with N3 million, a brand new car, will represent Nigeria at the 2012 Miss World Beauty contest. 

The second runner-up went home with N1m and will represent Nigeria at 2012 Miss Tourism International pageant.

Miss Sylvia Nduka, the out-going queen (2011), crowned the new beauty queen from among the 36 finalists  drawn from across the 36 states of the federation.

The MBGN pageantry which has been in existence for 25 years now, had its first screenings in Benin, Port-Harcourt, Abuja and finally in Lagos at the Xclusive lounge, Silverbird Galleria, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Miss Isabella Ayuk was a Miss Nigeria contestant in 2004.

She was announced after Miss Kaduna, the 3rd runner up; Miss Abuja the 2nd runner up; and Miss Rivers the 1st runner up.

The pageant held on Saturday May 5, in Benin City, Edo State at the Best Western Hotels. It was hosted by the Edo State Government.

Some of the other winners:

Miss Edo won for Miss Photogenic.
Miss Cross River won for Best Traditional Costume.
Miss Taraba won for Miss Amity.
Miss Gombe won for Miss La Casera.
Miss Kwara won for Face of Select Pro.

The anchors were Silverbird's Toke Makinwa and Chris Okenwa. There were also performances by Banky W, Chuddy K and 2face Idibia who gleefully announced: "I don marry now o!"

The new MBGN represents Nigeria at the Miss World pageant.
