Job Summary:

Lead the planning, delivery and management of Etisalat Nigeria's IT security programme in order to ensure adequate, effective and efficient protection of the organization's information and related technology assets

Principal Functions:

Develop and/or enhance a framework for information security management at Etisalat Nigeria

Work with Etisalat Nigeria business units and other risk management/ assurance functions to identify information security requirements, using methods including risk and business impact assessments

Develop and manage delivery of a comprehensive information security programme for Etisalat Nigeria

Implement strategies and plans to achieve information security requirements and address identified risks

Lead the conduct of security control and vulnerability assessments to identify weaknesses and assess the effectiveness of existing controls; recommend remedial action

Report to management concerning residual risk, vulnerabilities and other security exposures including misuse of information assets and non-compliance

Play an advisory role in application development or acquisition projects in order to assess information security requirements and controls and ensure that controls are implemented as planned

Collaborate on critical IT projects to ensure that information security issues are addressed throughout the project life cycle

Lead the development of security architecture and policies, principles and standards and ensure compliance across the organization

Participate in security investigations and compliance reviews as requested by internal or external auditors

Research and assess new threats and security alerts and recommend appropriate actions

Raise information security awareness and education levels among Etisalat Nigeria employees and business partners

Lead the selection of information security solutions partners managing delivery of IT security projects

Interface actively with other teams within and outside the IT function in the process of delivering security solutions

Interface with vendors, suppliers and partners to ensure effectively optimized adoption and delivery of approved information security solutions

Educational Requirements: First degree or equivalent in Computer Science/ Engineering, Electrical/ Electronic Engineering, or any other related disciplines

Experience & Skills:

Between five (5) and seven (7) years directly relevant post-NYSC work experience, with at least three (3) years in enterprise information security implementation and management

Mandatory possession of any or all relevant IT and telecoms certifications, such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, CEH, ISO27000, etc

Demonstrable broad experience across the IT architecture stack

Ideal candidate must also be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, high levels of conceptual and analytical thinking, as well as very good understanding of telecoms business and technology models and business analysis and project management methods
