Our correspondent, who visited to the market, reports that no single seller or buyer had patronized the market which operates every Wednesday and Thursday.

Market officials said they have not received any livestock from seller, saying the few available ones on ground are mostly owned by injured victims and those killed.

"All the cattle you see here were tied even before the attack; some of the owners were killed and their relatives didn't claim them; and since then no single person has entered the market with a cow; we thought some of them would arrive today (yesterday) but there is sign of any body coming", they said.

The market officials said they felt sad by what they called 'preferential treatment' by the federal government when it comes to compensation in an attack like this, saying the situation would bring serious discomfort to their members.

Contacted, Chairman Cattle Breeders and Sellers Association of Nigeria, Yobe State chapter, Alhaji Musa Mairago, said "still we have not heard from the federal government; but there was rumour all over that Vice President Alhaji Namadi Sambo will come; other sources said House of Representatives Speaker will come".
