Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following vacant positions at the University of Ilorin.

2. NON-ACADEMIC

Please note that computer literacy and the NYSC discharge certificate/certificate of exemption are mandatory where applicable.

A. TECHNICAL STAFF

i. Chief Technologist (CONTISS 13) Candidates must have possessed a B.Sc./HND Degree from any reputable institution in relevant areas with at least fifteen (15) years of post qualification work experience.

ii. Senior Technologist (CONTISS 09) Candidates must have possessed a B.Sc./HND Degree from any reputable institution in relevant areas with at least six (6) years of post qualification work experience.

iii. Technologist II (CONTISS 07) Candidates must have possessed a B.Sc./HND Degree from any reputable institution in relevant areas.

iv. Laboratory Assistant: Candidates must have NIST basic or proficiency certificate in addition to SSCE with four credits including Mathematics and another science subject.

v. Principal Animal Health Assistant (CONTISS 06) (Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Teaching Hospital) Candidates must have possessed a Diploma from any reputable institution with five (5) O'level Credits including English Language and Mathematics. Candidates must have at least six 6 years post qualification working experience,

B. DIRECTORATE OF COMPUTER SERVICES AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

i Senior Programmer (Web and Dbase Administrator) (CONTISS 09):

Candidates must have B.Sc./B.Tech/HND Computer Science, plus five (5) O' level Credits including English Language and Mathematics. Candidates with a university degree must have four (4) years working experience, while those with HND must have six (6) years working experience. A Master degree will be an added advantage.

ii. Computer Technician (CONTISS 06):

Candidates must possess five (5) O' level Credits including English Language and Mathematics, plus OND in Electronic/Electrical Engineering/Computer Science/Telecommunication Science with a minimum of two (2) years of working experience in computer operations, networking, technical support (hard & software).

iii. Data Analyst I (CONTISS 06):

Candidates must possess five (5) O' level Credits including English Language and Mathematics, plus OND in Statistics / Computer Science with a minimum of two (2) years of working experience in computer operations, technical support (hardware & software). Knowledge of statistical packages will be an added advantage.

C. CENTRE FOR SUPPORTIVE SERVICES FOR THE DEAF (CSSD)

i. Tutor I (CONTISS 08):

Candidates must have a minimum of 1st

ii. Tutor III (CONTISS 06): degree in Special Education. Skill in sign language is essential with at least five (5) years experience in a tertiary institution. Candidates must have five (5) O'level Credits including English language. Area of Specialization: Education of the Hearing Impaired

(D) REGISTRY

i. Directors in the Registry and Vice-Chancellor's Office: (CONTISS 15):

• Candidates must possess a good University degree from a recognized University with five (5) O'level Credits including English Language.

• Candidates must have completed the NYSC scheme or provide evidence of exemption, with at least fifteen (15) years post-qualification experience, most of which should be in a University, allied institution or Regulatory bodies.

• Candidates must, in addition to possessing high quality communication skills, should also have excellent analytical, presentation and statistical skills, with an in-depth knowledge of ICT.

• Possession of a higher degree and membership of relevant professional bodies would be an added advantage.

• Must have held a minimum of the position of Deputy Registrar or equivalent for not less than 5 years.

ii. Deputy Registrar: (CONTISS 14):

Candidates must have at least fourteen (14) years relevant post qualification working experience, most of which must be in University Administration. Candidates must have (5) five O'level Credits including English Language, plus a good University degree from a recognized University. Postgraduate qualifications will be an added advantage.

iii. Principal Assistant Registrar: (CONTISS 13):

Candidates must have at least twelve (12) years relevant post qualification working experience with 5 O'level Credits including English Language, plus a good University degree from a recognized University.

iv. Senior Assistant Registrar: (CONTISS 11):

Candidates must have at least nine (9) years post qualification working experience, with five (5) O'level Credits including English Language and a good University degree from a recognized University.

v. Assistant Registrar: (CONTISS 09):

Candidate must have at least six (6) years post qualification working experience, with five (5) O'level Credits including English Language and a good University degree from a recognized University.

vi. Administrative Officer: (CONTISS 08):

Candidates must possess at least three (3) years post qualification working experience, with five (5) O' level Credits including English Language and a University Degree from a recognized University.

vii. Administrative Assistant: (CONTISS 07):

Candidates must possess at least five (5) O' level Credits including English Language and a University Degree from a recognized University.

viii. Executive Officer: (CONTISS 06):

Candidates must possess at least three (3) years working experience with at least (5) five O' level Credits including English Language and OND in Administration/Law.

ix. Senior Confidential Secretary (CONTISS 08):

Candidates must possess at least Credit passes in five (5) relevant subjects, including English Language at the SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB 'O' Level and RSA or Government Certificate for 120/50 W.P.M. in Shorthand and Typewriting, with a minimum of nine (9) years cognate experience.

x. Confidential Secretary I (CONTISS 07):

Candidates must possess at least Credit passes in five (5) relevant subjects including English Language at the SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB 'O' Level and RSA or Government Certificate for 120/50 W.P.M. in Shorthand and Typewriting, with a minimum of 6years cognate experience.

xi. Confidential Secretary II (CONTISS 06):

Candidates must possess at least Credit passes in five (5) relevant subjects including English Language at the SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB 'O' Level and RSA or Government Certificate for 100/50 W.P.M. in Shorthand and Typewriting, with a minimum of 5years cognate experience.

xii. Confidential Secretary III (CONTISS 05):

Candidates must possess at least Credit passes in five (5) relevant subjects including English Language at the SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB 'O' Level and RSA or Government Certificate for 80/35 W.P.M. in Shorthand and Typewriting, with a minimum of four (4) years cognate experience.

xiii. Secretarial Assistant II (CONTISS 04):

Candidates must possess at least Credit passes in five (5) relevant subjects including English Language at the SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB 'O' Level and RSA or Government Certificate for 80/35 W.P.M. in Shorthand and Typewriting, with a minimum of four (4) years cognate experience.

xiv. Clerical Officer: (CONTISS 03):

Candidates must possess at least have 3 years working experience plus at least (5) five Credits O' level at SSCE/GCE/NECO/ NABTEB) including English Language.

xv. Motor Driver (CONTISS 02):

Candidates must have Trade Test III, II, I with Driver's License Group 'E' with at least five years driving experience.

xvi. Office Assistant: (CONTISS 01):

Candidates must possess at least first school leaving certificate.

(E). POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL

i. Principal Editor (CONTISS 11):

Candidates must possess at least Credit passes in five (5) relevant subjects including English Language at one sitting and a minimum of B.A/B.Sc Second Class Lower Division in a relevant discipline from a recognized Institution. Candidates must have at least twelve (12) years post-qualification work experience. Possession of a post graduate degree is an advantage.

ii. Senior Editor ( Humanities or Science) CONTISS 09):

Candidates must possess at least Credit passes in five (5) relevant subjects including English Language at one sitting and a minimum of B.A/B.Sc Second Class lower Division in a relevant discipline from a recognized Institution. Candidates must have at least eight (8) years post-qualification work experience. Possession of a post graduate degree is an advantage.

iii. Senior Book Designer (CONTISS 09):

Candidates must possess at least Credit passes in five (5) relevant subjects including English Language plus a minimum of B.Sc. Second Class Lower Division or HND in Graphic Design; Fine and Applied Arts; or Desktop Publishing. Candidates must also be very good in Corel Draw, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe In-design, Adobe illustrator, Photo paint, Microsoft Word, Publishers, Page Maker, PowerPoint, etc. Candidates must also have at least eight (8) years post-qualification work experience.

iv. Typesetters I (CONTISS 06):

Candidates must possess at least Credit Passes in five (5) relevant subjects including English Language at the SSCE/GCE 'O' Level and RSA or Government Certificate for 50 W.P.M. in Shorthand and Typewriting with a minimum of eight (8) years cognate experience. Candidates must also be very good in corel Draw, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe In-design, Adobe illustrator, Photo paint, Microsoft Word, Publishers, Page Maker, and PowerPoint etc.

OR

OND in Secretarial Studies or Office Technology with 2 years cognate experience. Candidates must be very good in Corel Draw, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe In-design, Adobe illustrator, photo paint, Microsoft Word, Publishers, Page Maker, PowerPoint, etc.

OR

HND in Secretarial Studies or Office Technology with 2 years cognate experience. Candidates must be very good in Corel Draw, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe In-design, Adobe illustrator, photo paint, Microsoft Word, Publishers, Page Maker, PowerPoint, etc.

(F). CENTRE FOR OPEN AND DISTANCE LEARNING

i. Design Team Manager (Principal Technologist I) (CONTISS 11):

Candidates must possess five (5) O' level Credits including English Language and Mathematics, plus a good University degree in Educational or Instructional Technology from a reputable University. Candidates must have at least nine (9) years work experience preferably in a higher institution. Possession of a post graduate degree is an advantage.

ii. System Administrator (CONTISS 09):

Candidates must possess five (5) O' level Credits including English Language and Mathematics, plus a Bachelors degree (B.Sc/B.Eng/B.Tech.) in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering with special area of interest in networking. Candidates must have at least three (3) years working experience.

iii. System Analyst I (CONTISS 08):

Candidates must possess five (5) O' level Credits including English Language and Mathematics, plus a good University degree in Computer Science or any other relevant discipline. Candidates must have at least three (3) years working experience preferably in a higher institution setting, with proven skill in web programming and management.

iv. Instructional Designers (CONTISS 07):

Candidates must possess five (5) O' level Credits including English Language and Mathematics, plus a good University degree in Educational or Instructional Technology from a reputable University.

(G). BURSARY DEPARTMENT

i. Deputy Bursar (CONTISS 14) :

Candidates must possess five (5) O' level Credits including English Language and Mathematics and a B.Sc. in Accountancy/ Accounting from a recognized Institution plus membership of professionally recognized Accountancy body: ICAN, ANAN, ACCA or its equivalent with fourteen (14) years relevant working experience in a Higher Institution.

ii. Chief Accountant (CONTISS 13) :

Candidates must possess a minimum of first degree in B.Sc. in Accountancy/ Accounting from a recognized University with five (5) O' level Credits including English Language and Mathematics. In addition, the candidates must be members of at least one of the professional bodies: ICAN, ANAN, ACCA or its equivalent with twelve (12) years relevant working experience in a Higher Institution.

iii. Chief Executive Officer (Stores) – (CONTISS 13):

Candidates must possess the following requirement: SSCE/GCE/(O/L) or its equivalents with five (5) credits in the relevant subjects including Mathematics and English Language, plus HND in Purchasing and Supply Management or Advance Certificate in Store Keeping part I and II of the Nigeria Institute of Purchase Supply Management with at least fourteen (14) years working experience from a recognized Institution.

iv. Post of Senior Procurement Officer/Principal Stores Officer (CONTISS 09):

Candidates must possess the following requirement: SSCE/GCE/(O/L) or its equivalents with five (5) Credits in the relevant subjects including Mathematics and English Language, plus HND in Purchasing and Supply Management from a recognized Institution. Must have at least nine (9) years working experience.

v. Stores Officer (CONTISS 06)

Candidate must possess the following requirement: SSCE/GCE/(O/L) or its equivalents with five (5) Credits in the relevant subjects including Mathematics and English Language, plus HND in Purchasing and Supply Management from a recognized Institution. Must have at least five (5) years working experience.

(H). AUDIT UNIT

Deputy Director of Audit (CONTISS 14) :

Candidates must possess a minimum of first degree in B.Sc. in Accountancy/ Accounting from a recognized University with five (5) O' level Credits including English Language and Mathematics. In addition, the candidates must be members of at least one of the following professional bodies, with not less than fourteen (14) years experience:

(a) Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN)

(b) Association of Chartered Accountants (ACA)
