Job Purpose:

To provide overall engineering co-ordination establishing engineering policies and standards, and meeting all business development, contractual and statutory requirements.

Key Result Areas Main Activities and Responsibilities:

1.Establish and control the Engineering management system.

2.Ensure that the engineering work is carried out in accordance with the business development, contracts, and statutory requirements.

3.Provide functional guidance to all Lead Engineers and manage all major technical interfaces.

4.Advise the Proposal Managers and Project Managers on all engineering problem areas and managing the solutions.

5.Liaise with Clients' senior engineering personnel to resolve the technical challenges in the projects.

6.Ensure that engineering projects and procedures are done in accordance with Engineering, Project and Quality Assurance procedures, job priorities and variations as directed by the Project Director.

7.Ensure that construction, fabrication; installation, commissioning and maintenance requirements are incorporated within the prepared engineering plans for each area of the projects.

8.Conduct progress reviews and engineering checks with Lead and Project Engineers to identify/resolve problems and maintain progress.

9.Conduct regular design and safety reviews as required by Clients and planned at commencement of the projects.

10.Manage the development of the engineering programme and its integration within the overall Engineering strategy

Paper Qualification:

1. Minimum of B.Eng in any engineering field. 2. Coren Certification.

Experience:

Minimum of 15 years exeprience in a similar role

Must Have (apart from the above):

1.General Knowledge of Engineering disciplines and applicable Codes and Standards

2.Interpretation of pipeline/piping engineering software.

3.Knowledge of EPC Contracts and construction/commissioning

4.Knowledge of QA/QC

5.Good communication skills .

6.Team work

7.Must be proactive

8.Strong attention to details

9.Engineering Designs and Interpretation

10.Competent use of engineering software

11.Must be computer literate
