Job Description:

•   Supervision of Subcontractor towards timely delivery of engineering deliverables, work procedures, Job Safety Analysis and all required project deliverables. Ensuring that technical concept and method is in accordance with common industrial standards of practice and contractual specifications.

•   Prepare all required technical documents for the project. This may include drafting of scope of work, cost estimation, progress measurement, work completion certificate issuance and preparation, scheduling / rescheduling of activities, Project execution plan, daily progress reporting, Minutes of meetings, weekly report, project close out report, work acceptance certificate issuance and monthly reports. Ensuring that these preparations result in cost efficient project execution in accordance with contractual, legislative, regulatory, company commercial requirements and Deltaafrik's project management practise.

•   Proactive towards resolution of on-site conflicts and liaison with client for technical input. Proposing, stimulating and realising optimisation and improvements in his area of responsibility. Applying company's technical expertise to the maximum extent.

•   Coordination of Subcontractors towards timely completion of the works w.r.t. the schedule and also ensuring that the Project's scope of work is fully adhered to by the Subcontractor. Ensuring that the Deltaafrik change management practise is implemented where ever changes might be required.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Relevant degree in engineering, quantity surveying or equivalent qualification and a minimum of 5 years industry experience (COREN registration is an added advantage)

HSE Capability: Ability to manage subcontractors for compliance to SHE and Quality requirements.

IT Skills: Computer literacy mandatory on MS Office applications.

People Skills:

•   Excellent interpersonal relations in managing local community based project

•   Maintains and builds healthy client relationships

•   Proactively resolves performance, scope and schedule issues with the client as they arise

•   Identifies, documents, communicates and meets the client's requirements

Other:

•   Proficiency in report preparations and technical writing

•   Ability to work with minimal supervision
