Job Title: Planning Engineer

Purpose Statement:

To ensure that the AND fleet is maintained in accordance with the AND approved maintenance programme and ensuring the efficient cost effective planning of all major modification programs and regulatory defined maintenance programs within the planning departments.

Key Accountabilities:

• Ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance and speed of planning deliverables in line with the 6P SLA requirements.

• Ensure that all EASA, regulatory / legal requirements, statutory responsibilities, and directives pertaining to the group's activities are in compliance.

• Project manages change programmes to specification in a cost effective and timely manner, not exceeding deadlines.

• Provide 24 hour call out support to the Maintenance Organisations, ensuring the safe, punctual, efficient and cost effective operation of the Air Nigeria Fleet.

• Ensure that all 3rd party maintenance organisations react to the requirements of Air Nigeria planning needs.

• Implementation and administrative control of OEM on-line data access systems.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 5 years as member of aircraft planning department.

• Knowledge of current planning techniques and systems together with a good working understanding of IT in general.

• To have preferably served a recognised apprenticeship in Aircraft Engineering with knowledge to the level of a Licensed Aircraft Engineer or engineering degree/HND Mechanical/Electrical

• Detailed understanding of Maintenance Programmes and their development, work pack production and methodology, Technical Records control.

• A high level of interpersonal, communicative skill with personal effectiveness.

• Must be able to work unsupervised and as part of a team, being a highly motivated, professional, flexible individual.

• Detailed knowledge of ATA coding
