Factional MEND leader Togo threatens to shoot down aircraft

THE battle in the Niger Deltal creeks assumed a worrisome dimension yesterday, following a threats  by factional militant  leader, General John Togo, to shoot down aircraft flying over his  camp in the area.



Togo said yesterday that he would shoot down any aircraft, belonging to the military, oil companies and commercial airlines that fly over within two to three miles, near his new 'Israel Barracks'.

'Israel Barracks' is the new camp of the militant leader who was recently driven from Ogodobiri, Delta State by the Joint Task Force (JTF).
