Roles and responsibilities:

1.Ensures timely and appropriate project inputs to the health facilities and improved coordination between the health facilities and the communities;

2.Identify and address issues and affect delivery of quality health services and take initiatives in solving those, in collaboration with the SMOH;

3.Work with the SMOH and the Field Operations Manager to develop and implement an improvement plan for service delivery points within the zone;

4. Managing activities in the assigned LGA zones, ensure timely submission and accuracy of reports;

5.Contribute to the writing of the quarterly report sections, including identifying success stories and keeping a photographic and written record of field activity highlights;

6.Participates in the initial LGA assessment and community mobilization inventory and other baseline data gathering;

7.Work with technical teams to identify potential problem areas, stock-outs, gaps or other issues that require immediate attention;

8.Participates in all aspects of the life of the project; works with colleagues and counterparts to ensure project success; and

9.Other duties as assigned.

Skill set   

•   Strong community ties and demonstrated ability to work with communities, WARD development committees, LGA leadership and SMOH technical staff. Must have the confidence of the client.

•   Clear understanding of public health issues and challenges in resource poor settings in Northern Nigeria.

•   Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access; ability to produce accurate reports and data on activities.
