Purpose:

•   The Principal Construction Engineer will report directly to the Construction Engineering Manager; and will be responsible for the execution of Bonga North West (BNW) Project Onshore & Offshore Construction Activities (including Subsea & Pipeline); FPSO Brownfield Fabrications and Installations, HSSE, Shutdown, Coordination of SIMOPS & Commissioning Activities; and Interface Management of relevant Project, Marine and Operations organizations.

•   He will also be responsible for coordination and execution of all Asset Engineering developments and upgrade on Bonga FPSO during the execution period of BNW Project on Bonga FPSO.

•   A significant component of the work will be the coordination of the shutdown activities. The position will be responsible for managing the interfaces with the relevant projects resources and operations organization. These include Operations and Maintenance, Logistics, OIM, Subsea Intervention, Subsea Surveillance, etc.

Experience and Qualifications required:

•   A Bachelors Degree in Engineering, plus minimum of 15 years experience in Construction related activities, with at least 10 years experience directly related to offshore construction.

•   A good understanding of Industry, DEPs and Shell construction Standards related to deepwater facilities, with the ability to challenge same if needed.

•   Played a significant role on a major project.

•   Familiar with project development challenges in Nigeria or in other regions with similar challenges.

•   Demonstrated capability to proactively implement plans, follow through with sustained execution, and to meet project milestones.

•   Good supervisory qualities and experience, including good communication skills.

•   A strong proactive commitment and demonstrable effectiveness in HSSE management is essential. .
