Multiple Gunshots Heard in Damaturu,Yobe State

Gunshots and explosions were yesterday heard in different locations in Damaturu, Yobe State.

Detail of the attacks is sketchy as at the time of filling this report.

Weekly Trust gathered that the gunshots started at around 8:20pm at Gashua road, Potiskum Road, Shagari low-cost and around Gwange ward.

A resident of Shagari low cost told our correspondent that "several gunshots were still on-going but the explosions were not too many," he said.

He said that the attacks started after the curfew hours set in therefore the target cannot be immediately ascertained.

Yobe State Commissioner of Police, Moses Egbuniwe said he did not have detail of the attack. "I would speak to you later when I have the detail," he said
