Job Title: Operations Support Analyst

Reporting Line: Operations Support Manager

Responsibilities:

The Operations Support Analyst will assist with all operational activities including:

Report Generation/Analysis

o   The candidate have to write Data Definition Language or Data Manipulation Language SQL commands, Access and Excel reporting for improving data quality and for designing or presenting conclusions gained from analysis to meet tight deadlines

o   Oversee the existing reporting architecture and processes to identify areas of improvement, business impact, correlations/discrepancies and drive through changes across the business as necessary

o   Participate in system validation and Quality Assurance efforts as they pertain to report creation, execution and business rules within the system context required to achieve SLAs & KPIs.

o   Demonstrate ability to interpret Trouble Ticketing data and effectively present highly sophisticated analysis and findings with strong attention to details

o   Interface with clients to define report deliverables, issues, questions, needs, trends, and timing. Extract existing data to manipulate/format into presentable reports, charts, and graphs and analyze reporting needs and requirements.

Process Improvement & Configuration Management

o   Creating process maps and owning the production and introduction of new processes and drive adherence to existing ones by taking ownership of own workload, Facilitate workshops and meetings and lead discussions over cross functional teams

o   Produce and manage a network change management calendar, identifying and resolving scheduling and technical conflicts and Manage the Change Management Approval Process

o   Administer the network change & system database, ensuring accuracy, consistency of data and Interrogates the database to produce reports as needed

Contacts:   

Under the supervision of the Operations Support Manager, you will be required to liaise and interface with other groups/departments typically involved in the Technical Management of the project.

Competencies Required:   

o   BSc. Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics. MSc or MBA will be added advantage

o   You must have a minimum 3 – 5 years' work experience in a Telecommunication or ISP environment with good knowledge on communication and networking protocols

o   Programming experience in any data management language such as SQL, or similar experience in an analytical toolset e.g. Microsoft Analytic Services (OLAP)

o   Knowledge of process frameworks (e.g. ITIL, eTOM, APAQ etc.)

o   You will have exposure to non IT/Telecom focused development environments and able to manage

Demands of the job:   

o   Ability and willingness to work round the clock when required, and meet tight deadlines

o   Ability to interpret Trouble Ticketing data and effectively present highly sophisticated analysis and findings.

o   Ability to pay attention to detail

o   Good research skills
