Reports To (Position Title): Construction Manager/ Project Manager

Major Accountabilities Of Position:  

What – How – Why Responsibility  

•   Executes all orders and directives issued by the Construction Manager; outlines work programs; designates critical areas and priorities.

•   Prepares the major construction equipment list for the project and monitors the assignment of equipment required by each craft to ensure maximum efficiency.

•   Reviews and approves field manpower requisitions for the employment of craft labor.

•   Provides detailed scheduling of daily construction activities and coordinates between the Company and subcontractors to avoid conflicts.

•   Analyzes rigging requirements and other critical items to determine the best method of installation.

•   Understands and applies the Company labor relations policies.

•   Oversees the work of Area Construction Superintendents and Construction Superintendents.

•   Completes other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

•   Plan and manage engineering and design systems implementation, technical specifications, standard drawings standard setup of models etc. and data management systems

•   Provide the PMT interface between the work face and the Construction Manager

•   Serve as the Vessel Lead during offshore installation & Hook Up

•   Implement project safety, quality, schedule and cost objectives during the installation, commissioning and start-up phase

Knowledge / Experience / Skills Required

Job Specific Knowledge:

•   Supervises the physical work forces in construction installations.  Assists the Construction Manager in job planning and work scheduling; coordinates the activities of Craft Supervisors and Foremen to ensure effective operations and productivity.  May have full responsibility on smaller projects, assuming the duties of a Construction Manager.

Industry Specific Experience:

20+ years of related work experience, including supervisory/managerial experience within a large Engineering firm is required.  Professional registration with active membership in a professional society is also required

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Bachelor degree in Engineering (or related field)

HSE Capability:

•   Safety – Responsible for personal safety and his/her staffs safe working practices for DA. Understand and follow HSE procedures.

IT Skills:

•   Proficiency in utilizing PC and various computer engineering applications software is required.  Ability to perform as a job leader on large projects is required.

•   People Skills:

•   Requires communication skills to be able to successfully work in a team environment and communicate effectively with other disciplines
