Description:

The ICT / Education Specialist is responsible for incorporating ICT into the projects multiple components, particularly in teaching and learning.  The ICT and Education specialist will oversee introduction of appropriate hardware solutions into schools and for State level teacher in service teacher training staff.  S/he will identify and build private sector partners and develop sustainable solutions for maintaining ICT equipment.  Finally, s/he will work closely with the Reading Specialists and the Teacher Training Specialist to integrate the use of ICT into the teaching of reading.

Minimum Requirements:

•   Ten year plus years experience in developing hardware and software solutions in the education sector;

•   At least 10 years of experience in working on donor funded education projects to provide effective training, technical assistance, coaching and mentoring of teachers to use ICT in the classroom.

•   Bachelors' degree in ICT and/ or education and teacher training.

•   Documented history of effective training workshop design and technical assistance delivery

•   Demonstrated effectiveness in writing, presentation and communications skills
