Some see Julius Malema, who was once convicted of hate speech, as dangerous agitator and a threat to South Africa's delicate racial harmony. But he is also hailed as a mouthpiece for the boiling anger of many poor, black South Africans frustrated by the pace of progress since the birth of democracy in 1994.
