New iphone app launched by YouTube

Google has released  a new version of Youtube app with some significant upgrades just days before iOS 6 lands on iPhones.

Thousands of additional videos can now be played through the iOS app, notably major-label music videos. That will be made possible by advertising, which was forbidden in the original Apple-designed app.

The company is aiming higher as hints reveal some big new features to come. For starters, an iPad version is in the works. YouTube also wants to make movies and TV shows purchased through the Google Play store available on the iOS app.
