Job Description:

To assist the Central Cash Manager effectively manage the Central Cash department and ensure Controls of the Banks local and foreign cash and blank forms

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

1.   Ensure daily update and tracking of – • CIT Vendors Limit Tracker • Cash Holding Insurance Limit Tracker • Advice of CIT agents  handling cash movements on daily basis to all Branch Ops Managers and Teller Service Managers

2.   Ensure breaches are escalated appropriately

3.   Ensure CIT accounts maintain zero balance on a daily basis and cash accounts balance with registers

4.   Ensure there are no audit issues/KCSA exceptions arising from filing of documents such as Blank Forms acknowledgements, deposit and withdrawal vouchers for branches and accurate cash records are kept.

5.   Participate, under dual custody, in the cash count on all swaps done with partner banks .

6.   Ensure that adequate measure is taken to reduce incidences of shortages in cash deposits at the Central Bank

7.   Ensure that bank-wide CIT costs are adequately tracked to prevent excess charges by vendors.

8.   Enhance the end to end processing of entries such as cash swaps, charges and cash vouchers and internal escalation of errors/complaints and pro-active initiation of preventive actions.

Qualifications & Skills:

•   Relevant University degree or equivalent

•   Minimum of 1 year appropriate Banking experience on operational procedures related to money market and foreign exchange

•   Adequate knowledge of e-BBS and Branch operational procedures

•   Good communication and interpersonal skills

•   A BSC holder with minimum second class lower
