Five PDP NASS Members, Ex-deputy Speaker defect to ACN in Anambra

A gale of defections has hit the Anambra State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Five members of the National Assembly and an ex-deputy speaker of the state House of Assembly have all dumped the party for the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN).

The members include: Honourables Cyril Maduabum, representing Nnewi North and South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency; Gozie Agbakoba, Onitsha North and South Constituency; Raph Okeke, Anambra East and West and Charles Odedo, Idemili North and South.

Also, Ozo Ughammadu, who was former deputy speaker in the state, equally dumped the party to pitch tent with ACN.

Moreso, the defectors yesterday assured that Senator Ikechukwu Obiora who is away to overseas would equally join ACN whenever he comes back.

All of them are seeking re-election to the National Assembly, while Ughammadu wants to join them from the lower house.
