The Nation - Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly Adeyemi Ikuforiji has lamented the porous security in the country, urging the Federal Government to fulfil its promise on security of lives and property.

In a New Year message, he said the government must fish out the perpetrators of the Abuja explosions. He said: "The crises are bad omen for the integration and socio-economic development of the people. The security forces must work concertedly towards freeing Nigerians from the grip of series of violence unleashed on them daily by overhauling the security system."

He said the police must be more vigilant. "The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has gone back to the days of National Party of Nigeria (NPN), when political violence and maiming of people were the order of the day."
