Nyako builds 4500 classrooms

The Adamawa State government has built 4500 classrooms in 500 primary schools in the state since the inception of present administration in 2007. This is in its quest to raise the educational standard of the state and make it one of the leading states in the country in the area of education.

The Policemen deployed in Zone 2 of the Nigeria Police Force to monitor elections will be positioned 300 metres away from the polling booths they will monitor.

The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 2, comprising Lagos and Ogun states, Mr Suleiman Fakai, who disclosed this at a press briefing in Lagos yesterday, said the measure was aimed at cheking any outbreak of violence during voting.

Four major political parties are in the race for the Senate in the 36 states of the federation. The Federal High Court, Dutse has been asked to disqualify Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa State from contesting the April 16 governorship poll following issues surrounding his West African Senior Schools Certificate allegedly obtained in n1966 from Government College (now Barewa College ), Zaria .
