Ghana coach- Maxwell Konadu:
“What happened today is very normal in football. We played really well in the first half and created numerous chances from which we should have scored more than the one goal we got. The team that is behind in football will normally come back strong and that is what Libya did. We accept the draw in good faith and regroup for the Ethiopia game which will be tough but we will do our best to qualify from group C.
Libya coach- Javier Clemente:
After a slow start and the shock of going behind to an early goal we got ourselves back in the game and as you all saw pegged back the Ghanaians and could have got all three points tonight. I cannot fault my players for anything at all and they responded well to the tactical changes we made which enabled us to check Ghana’s threats and once we did that we grew in strength going forward. I think it was a very good match to watch and both teams played good football today. It is a good position to go into our last group match in but we know there is still a lot of work to be done before we can qualify to the next phase of the competition.”
