Maurizio Sarri has come out to say that he hopes for an Europa League final that will involve his current and past club, Chelsea and Napoli.
Chelsea dismantled Dynamo Kiev 5-0 in Ukraine yesternight, ensuring their qualification to the quarterfinals of the competition.
Napoli also progressed with a 4-3 aggregate result against RB Salzburg.
Maurizio who had previously said his emotional attachment to Napoli would make him scared of facing them revealed that what would make him delighted is the two facing off in the final of the competition.
His words, “I prefer to find them in the final,”
“It means we are in the final, that would make me happy and Napoli are in the final and that would make me happy. It would be difficult to play them with my history with the club.”
On Loftus-Cheek, he said, “He is improving,”
“In the last month he has been able to have training. Now he’s improving every day and had a wonderful match. I’m very happy he was able to play for 90 minutes. It’s good news.
“The potential of Loftus-Cheek is very high. Physically, technically, he is improving tactically. He can become one of the best midfielders not only in England, but in Europe.”
