President Bola Tinubu is not a magician, according to Nigeria’s first lady, Senator Remi Tinubu.
This was one of the points she made during her address to the interfaith congregation gathered in Abuja on Sunday to celebrate Nigeria’s 63rd anniversary of independence.
Mrs. Tinubu, discussing the current state of the country, said that her husband is eager to rebuild things brick by brick without blaming the previous administration.

All that has been left to us are relics of the past. We will not point fingers at any one administration, but rather work to restore what has been broken.
My hubby is not a magician, believe me. He’s going to the office, so hopefully things will calm down here soon. It’s only the beginning,” she reassured us.
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume, also urged Nigerians to be patient, saying that the country’s issues would not be remedied as quickly as people had hoped.
“It’s unrealistic to think that Nigeria’s complicated challenges can be solved overnight. It will take time, but steps are being taken to fix the problem,” he stated.
