In the midst of the controversial resignation of its former coach, Sunday Oliseh, the Super Eagles of Nigeria have move up place in March FIFA Ranking.
Nigeria was 63rd in the February ranking but is now the 62nd football country in the world according to the latest ranking.
They also moved up in the African ranking from 12th to 11th.
Cape Verde Islands is now the number one country in Africa, ranked 31 in the world.
Côte d’Ivoire follows in second place (36 in the world) Algeria is third (37 ) Ghana is fourth (41) while Tunisia round the top five (47).
Other African countries above Nigeria include Senegal (48), Egypt (53), Congo DR (58), Congo (59) and Cameroon (61).
Belgium, Argentina, Spain, Germany and Chile are the top five teams in the world.
