Beyonce is due to give birth to twins any day now.
And while she is no doubt resting at home and counting down the days, her husband Jay Z made a quick trip to Jamaica over the weekend to work on new music.
Jay, 47, was spotted in Kingston on Friday where he is recording with Damien Marley in Bob Marley’s legendary Tuff Gong studio.
The rapper was also spotted hanging out with cricketer Marlon Samuels as the duo posed for pictures at the Trench Town Culture Yard.
Jay was seen in a white t-shirt, camouflage jacket and baseball cap in a variety of Instagram snaps.
The hip-hop producer and Beyonce, 35, have been married since 2008 and already have one daughter, Blue Ivy, five.
The songstress hasn’t been as active on social media in recent weeks, her last Instagram post being May 29.
Last month Bey’s father Mathew Knowles revealed on TMZ Live that the Drunk in Love hitmaker was ‘more than two weeks’ away from welcoming her babies – so it could be any day now that the star becomes a mother-of-three.
Beyonce’s mother Tina recently said that the Grammy winner is ‘ready to see her babies’ and also praised her for being an ‘incredible parent’.
The 63-year-old told Ejntertainment Tonight, ‘[Beyoncé and Jay Z are] incredible parents. She’s a really good mom. Really patient and kind.’
‘[My biggest lesson was] teaching them that what is on the inside counts more than what’s on the outside. I see her passing it on, and it makes me really proud because that was my biggest lesson.’
Tina recently claimed she was in the dark about the gender of her daughter’s unborn duo, but said she was ‘so excited’ for their birth.
She said when asked about the gender of her grandchildren: ‘I would be happy with whatever God gives me. It’s the biggest blessing. I’m so excited!’
