Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has said every competition is important to him and the club he manages.
Man City will face Aston Villa at Wembley on March 1, after a 3-2 aggregate victory vs Manchester United in the semi-final – despite losing 1-0 in yesterday’s game.
According to Pep, he will not disrespect any competition and he tries to win every game.
He added that a game at Wembley is always historic and to play the final vs a historic club like Aston Villa makes him happy to feature in the competition.
His words, “People say we are complacent about what we have won,”
“You don’t try to diss the humble competition of the season, if you are not able to do it [win the Premier League] three times in a row with big games in the Premier League and Champions League and everyone there.
“When you win a lot, they say this competition does not matter, but with me this does not happen. It doesn’t matter, we try to do it.
“Being at Wembley with a historic team like Villa, we are happy to be there.”
