Chelsea defender, Cesar Azpilicueta has come out to react to Reece James’ red card vs Liverpool. He recently revealed that he feels very sorry for the defender because it was a really harsh decision.

According to him, it was clear that the referee got advice from VAR to give it, but he is proud of his teammates for fighting till the end.
He added that the fact that Chelsea even had the best chances in the 2nd half means the team was better on the night.
His words,.”Harsh. I feel sorry for Reece. The referee got advice from VAR to give it. He went to the screen to watch one replay.”
“We got the double punishment, red card and a penalty – and two yellow cards in the same action. We were angry. But you have to calm down and find a way to fight together as a team. I think the team fought and maybe we had the best two chances in the second half.”
