Barcelona manager, Xavi Hernandez has come out to say that the club is working against the clock to be able to compete with Real Madrid next season. This is coming after securing second place in LaLiga on Sunday, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, the club will start planning for next season this week because they don’t have much time and there are lots of financial complications to deal with.
Xavi added that Mateu Alemany and Jordi Cruyff already know his plans for the coming season, and everyone just have to work hard for its actualization.
His words, “This week we will start to plan,”
“We don’t have much time. We’re against the clock to make decisions. I know what we need to compete. The club know, [sporting director] Mateu Alemany knows and [sporting advisor] Jordi Cruyff knows [what I think].”
“What we can do depends on our financial situation. If it’s good, I am optimistic we will compete because next season we have to be fighting for trophies.”
