New Manchester United goalkeeper, Andre Onana has come out to reveal why he chose the No.24 shirt at the club instead of the traditional No.1 goalkeeper’s jersey. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, he chose 24 simply because he likes the number that has done a lot for him as a human and a footballer.
Onana added that the number is his date of brth, so he hopes it will keep bringing him luck in goal.
His words, “I just like that number. It’s my birthday. My date of birth. For me it’s great, it’s beautiful. I like this shirt because [in] this shirt, this number we have done a lot and I hope it will continue.”
