Nigerians, according to the former Emir of Kano Khalifa Muhammadu Sanusi II, should not be intimidated by the country’s president or state governors.
The leader of the Tijaniyya sect, Sanusi, has stated that Nigerians are not inferior persons simply because they choose to disregard politics.
If Nigerians don’t free themselves from their political leaders, the former governor of the central bank warned in a statement, they’ll have nowhere to call home.

‘We cannot be frightened by anyone just because you are a president or a governor and we cannot tell you that you are incorrect,’ Sanusi said.
We each picked a different piece. I could have been president or governor of Nigeria if I had entered politics, at least in light of the people who currently hold that office.
“Just because I don’t want to be a politician doesn’t make me a lesser person. As Nigerians, this is a lesson we must all take to heart. We are all too timid in our safe spaces, and as a result, we accept much too much trash.
When these bad boys are done with us, our kids won’t have a country to call home. The only way to save our country and ensure a bright future for our children is for those of us who are not elected officials to demand accountability from those who are.
“It’s not a great place to be right now. You should consider it a badge of honor to be disliked by inept individuals. You can’t relax and feel at ease in a skewed setting.
