Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has said that the Presidential victory Petition Tribunal’s (PEPT) decision to sustain President Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s victory is a representation of the will of the vast majority of voters.
Governor Abdulrazaq, who is in India on an official visit with the president, congratulated Tinubu in a statement released by his Chief spokesman, Rafiu Ajakaye, in Ilorin on Thursday, saying, “the judgement attests to the credibility of the ballot and the fact that the outcome reflects the wishes of the largest majority of eligible voters.”
The governor also praised the PEPT for sticking to the constitution in the face of threats and intimidation based on false allegations of electoral misconduct.

the issues were reviewed clinically and addressed in accordance with the relevant laws, which means that in the end, our democracy has been enriched and the freedom of Nigerians to freely elect leaders of their choosing has been equally preserved. The Governor called the verdict as “a victory for truth.”
We are confident that the PEPT’s decision would encourage the President to follow through on his commitments to Nigeria’s citizens.
“We promise to continue to work with Mr. President and his great team in the task of building a stronger economy, a safer nation, and a happier people,” the statement continued.
