Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang celebrated his victory at the Governorship Elections Petition Tribunal on Friday.
According to Infostride News, the tribunal confirmed Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Mutfwang as the state’s duly elected governor and rejected an appeal from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In addition, it stated that the PDP had made legitimate advancements and that the nomination or sponsorship of a candidate is strictly a pre-election issue.

The governor gave credit for his win to God and the people of Plateau, and he praised the court system for working in accordance with the law.
For this, I have the Almighty God to thank. I’d like to express my gratitude to everyone in Plateau State who has supported us.
“And I want to thank their lordships for having the heart to do according to the dictates of their conscience and according to law,” he added.
He promised the people of Plateau that his administration would make good on its promises and that from now on, he would be focusing on making sure that his policies and programmes were actually put into effect.
In the next days, we will take the initiative and push forward with the activities we have already begun.
So that “we can deliver on the promises we have made to our people,” he continued, “we will ensure that we move at the best speed.” (NAN)
