The New Nigeria Peoples’ Party (NNPP) in Benue State is not pleased with the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal’s decision to overturn Abba Kabir Yusuf’s election as governor of Kano State.
Group Captain Stephen Adah (Rtd), the party’s chairman in Benue State, made the announcement while speaking to reporters in Makurdi.
According to Adah, the party is troubled by the ruling since it does not appear to embody the principles of fair and reasonable judicial practises.

He said, “The NNPP government in Kano has put smiles on the faces of the oppressed in Kano; therefore, we call on the relevant authorities to launch an immediate review of the judgement to prevent a looming dispensation of unequally metered justice in the country.”
To put it bluntly, “the pillars of our nation’s democracy are at stake and should not be treated lightly.”
Finally, he said that truth and light must triumph over lies and darkness, adding that the NNPP will challenge the judicial robbery against the good people of Kano.
