The election of Emmanuel Udende, a candidate for the All Progressives Congress, was affirmed by the Court of Appeal in Abuja on Wednesday.
The judgment of the election petition tribunal to dismiss Udende, which was handed down a month ago, was overturned by the court.
However, in their unanimous decision, the three-person justice panel stated that the lower court had made an error in its verdict, and as a result, they upheld Udende’s election.
