Abia State’s chapter of the Labor Party, often known as the LP, has announced that Senator Darlington Nwokocha is still serving in the Senate, claiming that the decision made by the Appeal Court on Saturday to remove him was made in error and therefore cannot be upheld.
Since the news of Nwokocha’s expulsion became public on Saturday, the party claims that the members of the LP family in Abia have been in a state of disbelief ever since.
During a news conference that took place in Umuahia, Ceakay Igara, who is the Chairman of the party in Abia State, made the position of the LP known to the attendees.

Igara, who referred to the decision reached by the Appellate Court as “judicial rascality,” asserted that the verdict was smuggled in, despite the fact that the Certified True Copy has not been made accessible.
He made the observation that there was no foundation to depend on the same internal party matter to remove Nwokocha since the Supreme Court had, in separate decisions, determined the issues of Section 77 of the Electoral Act. He said this was because the Supreme Court had decided the questions of Section 77 of the Electoral Act.
In addition to this, he asserted that the ruling was a form of coercion that was applied to the residents of Abia Central.
The Chairman of the Labor Party (LP) pleaded with the other members of the panel to reconsider their decision and reinstate Nwokocha to the red chamber.
” We are more horrified by the rascality of the judiciary, particularly the muscle-flexing of the rulings, which are dividing judgements.
Since all of the decisions made that day were based on Section 77, he should reconsider his position once more.
According to the chairman of the Abia Liberal Party, “We know Senator Darlington has not been removed, and he continues to be our only Senator for Abia Central.”
In the meantime, the People’s Democratic Party, often known as the PDP, in the state of Abia has been in a celebratory mood ever since the ruling that reinstated the party’s nominee, Austin Akobundu, to his position as senator for the district of Abia Central.
