Chelsea manager, Mauricio Pochettino has come out to accept responsibility for the club’s latest collapse. He recently admitted that no one can be safe after a dismal 4-2 defeat against Wolves, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, the fact of the matter is that everyone at the club is not good enough at the moment, including himself, and the fans deserve an apology for constantly putting up with recent performances.

Poch, however, added that he and the players cannot give up just yet because hardwork can change a lot of things.
His words, “We apologise to the fans and accept it. Because the perception is one thing and the reality is another. The perception is that we should be in a different position, but for different circumstances, we are not. I think we are all not good enough at the moment. That’s the reality, myself also, as the first one responsible for this situation.
That’s the reality, myself also, as the first one responsible for this situation. What we showed today was that we are not good enough. We didn’t manage the situation properly and, of course, no one can be safe. I don’t want to come here to say: ‘I am the best and the players are the worst,’ I think we are all responsible. We can’t give up, and we are going to work hard to try and change, maybe take some decisions to find a different way. If it is not working this way, we need to move on and try to find a different type of solution.”
WOW.
Chelsea Football Club is an English professional football club based in Fulham, West London. Founded in 1905, they play their home games at Stamford Bridge.
The club competes in the Premier League, the top division of English football. They won their first major honour, the League championship, in 1955. The club won the FA Cup for the first time in 1970, their first European honour, the Cup Winners’ Cup, in 1971, and became the third English club to win the Club World Cup in 2022.
On 7 May 2022, Chelsea confirmed that terms have been agreed for a new ownership group, led by Todd Boehly, Clearlake Capital, Mark Walter and Hansjörg Wyss, to acquire the club. The group was later known as BlueCo.
The UK government approved the £4.25bn takeover, ending Abramovich’s 19-year ownership of the club. Bruce Buck, who served as chairman since 2003, was replaced by Boehly, while long-serving club director and de facto sporting director Marina Granovskaia left, as did Petr Čech from the role of technical and performance advisor.
