The National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared the governorship primary election in Edo State held on Saturday inconclusive.
The decision comes amidst controversy surrounding the poll, which resulted in the emergence of three different candidates for the September 21 gubernatorial election.
Governor Hope Uzodinma, Chairman of the Electoral Committee for the primary, announced Dennis Idahosa as the winner.

However, returning officer Stanley Ugboaja declared Monday Okpebholo as the winner.
Additionally, Ojo Babatunde, claiming to be a spokesperson for returning officers for all local governments, declared Anamero Dekeri as the winner.
The party’s leadership convened on Tuesday at the APC national secretariat in Abuja to address the confusion. After the meeting, National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka announced that the election was inconclusive.
He stated that the process would resume on Thursday, February 22, to complete the APC Edo State primary election process.
