The All Progressives Congress (APC) has condemned the recent actions and statements of Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara, describing them as impeachable offenses.
Felix Morka, the National Publicity Secretary of the APC, made this statement on Friday during a press conference in Abuja.
Morka emphasized that Fubara’s use of demolition of public assets as a means to punish legitimate members of the legislature was a sign of petty despotism and should be strongly condemned.

He criticized the governor’s attack on the House of Assembly and its leadership, stating that it was a clear disregard for a court order and a violation of the Constitution.
Morka argued that Fubara’s actions were leading to his own impeachment due to his conduct and comments.
He highlighted the importance of the House of Assembly, stating that it was elected by the people of Rivers State, similar to how Fubara was elected as governor.
Morka clarified, “Contrary to PDP’s assertions, it is not APC that is calling for the impeachment of Governor Fubara.
Rather, by his egregious actions, conduct and infantile comments, Fubara is actively and vehemently precipitating his own impeachment.”
He concluded by stating that Fubara’s declaration that the Rivers State House of Assembly does not exist was not only reckless but also a direct challenge to the constitution of Nigeria.
