Girona midfielder, Donny van de Beek has come out to open up on his Manchester United exit. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, nothing came out of his move to MUFC clearly, but he doesn’t have any bad thing to say about the English club.
He added that even if he didn’t play a lot in England, he definitely learnt a lot at Old Trafford.
His words, “I try to enjoy myself again and I do that. It (Girona) is a beautiful club with good football, and I think I can help with that and I am working hard on that. It is clear that nothing has come of it for either party (Manchester United). That is in the past, but not a single bad word about that club. Of course I didn’t play a lot, but I did learn a lot. With good players around me and good people within the club. I will take those things with me into the future.”

The following season, Manchester United claimed their first UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup title. That triumph allowed the club to compete in the European Super Cup for the first time, where United beat European Cup holders Red Star Belgrade 1–0 at Old Trafford. The club appeared in two consecutive League Cup finals in 1991 and 1992, beating Nottingham Forest 1–0 in the second to win that competition for the first time as well.
