Lecce president, Saverio Sticchi Damiani has come out to say that the club is trying to resist Manchester United’s attempts to buy Patrick Dorgu. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, resisting MUFC is a logical thing to do at this point because it is definitely in the club’s interest to keep its best players.
Saverio added that thus far, the decision is to not sell anyone in the January transfer window.
His words, “There are a series of situations in progress to complete the squad. We are trying to resist, as is logical, because it is in our interest to keep the players who are protagonists of this group. So far, our idea is to not sell anyone in January.”

That triumph allowed the club to compete in the European Super Cup for the first time, where United beat European Cup holders Red Star Belgrade 1–0 at Old Trafford. The club appeared in two consecutive League Cup finals in 1991 and 1992, beating Nottingham Forest 1–0 in the second to win that competition for the first time as well.
