Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has dismissed allegations that he was handpicked by political godfathers to be remotely controlled as the state’s leader.
Speaking during an interview on Politics Today on Channels Television, Okpebholo rejected claims that he was a puppet of any political figures, asserting that his rise to office was guided by divine intervention.
“Can you even point out one godfather who was pushing me?” he questioned.

According to the governor, it was Almighty God who used certain individuals to support his governorship ambition.
“God was using people to help me, to support me, to get to where I am today,” he added.
