The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, alongside members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), on Friday paid a visit to former President Muhammadu Buhari at his residence in Kaduna State.
The visit, which comes hours after key opposition leaders met with the former president, was reported by the media.
Earlier on Friday, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar had led a high-profile delegation including former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai; former Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal; and former Minister of Communications, Isa Pantami, to Buhari’s residence.

El-Rufai later told journalists that the visit was not political, urging “adversaries” not to lose sleep over it.
As of the time of filing this report, the outcome of the APC NWC’s closed-door meeting with Buhari remains undisclosed.
The visit also comes just days after Buhari received a delegation of APC governors led by the Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma. Uzodimma had said their mission was to offer Sallah greetings and congratulate the former president on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast.
The recent flurry of visits has sparked renewed speculation about internal tensions within the APC, particularly surrounding the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) bloc — one of the four legacy parties that merged to form the APC in 2013, with Buhari as a key figure from the CPC.
Despite the growing concerns, Buhari has consistently maintained his loyalty to the APC, affirming that he would never abandon the party.
