Ex-wife of popular billionaire, Bill Gates, Melinda Gates has come out to say that she left their marriage because it lacked honesty. She recently had her say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to her, the lack of honesty in their home went as far as affecting their ability to be intimate as a couple, so she had no choice but to leave.
Melinda added that every union will eventually fail to work if both parties are not honest with each other.
Her words, “I learned to have a trusted relationship, which is what I wanted in marriage, both partners have to be honest with one another. And if you can’t, you can’t have intimacy and you can’t have trust. So in the end, I had to go.
If you can’t live your values out inside your most intimate relationship, it was necessary. When you’re leaving a marriage, it’s very, very hard. And the negotiations were tough.”
On Bill saying their divorce is his biggest regret ever, “I don’t even quite know what to make of his statement, so I’m not going to comment on what he says. He’s got his own life. I have my life now. I am very happy.”
