Barcelona legend Luis Suarez has come out to say that Luis Enrique had a massive influence on his career. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, despite the fact that he was already in brilliant form before joining Barcelona from Liverpool, Enrique managed to take his game to another level when he signed for the La Liga giant.
Suarez added that he greatly admires how the Spanish manager gets the best out of his players.
His words, “He had a massive influence on me.
I already had a competitive streak about me, but he managed to intensify it. He taught me to operate in certain areas of the pitch in which I was asked to perform a role I wasn’t used to, given that I didn’t see much of the ball and had to initiate the press.
On a personal level, I have tremendous respect and admiration for what he gets out of his players.”
