Newcastle United have completed the signing of forward Anthony Elanga from Nottingham Forest. The Sweden international has left the City Ground after two seasons at the club, and fans have been reacting.
Speaking to the press, Elanga said that his two years at Nottingham Forest have contributed to helping him become the player he is today.

According to him, he feels very proud to be a Newcastle player, and he wants to help the club build on its Carabao Cup trophy last season.
Elanga stated that something special is clearly happening at Newcastle, and it’s a privilege to be a part of it.
“I had an amazing two years at Nottingham Forest, they really helped me to become the player I am today, but I’m really happy to be here now.
The club won a trophy last season and are building something unique, something special that I really want to be part of.”
Newcastle manager Eddie Howe further noted that the former MUFC forward has been a key target for the club, stressing that he is happy to finally land him.
Howe concluded by saying that signing the Sweden international before pre-season is a major boost for his team.
“I’m delighted to welcome Anthony to Newcastle United. He has been a key target for us so I’m delighted to secure him at this early part of pre-season,” he added.
