Liverpool manager Arne Slot has come out to react to fans disrupting the one minute silence held in honour of late Diogo Jota. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, he doesn’t think the disruption happened with any bad intent, and it didn’t feel like the fans knew it would happen before the game.
Slot added that he is a positive person, so he’ll focus on the respect late Jota keeps getting across the globe.
His words, “I don’t think this was planned. Maybe the fan was not aware of the minute’s silence and was happy and tried to cheer for his team, then the Palace fans tried to calm him down and our fans reacted.
I don’t think they had a bad intention. I’m a positive person. I look at the respect paid to Diogo and Andre across the world.”

The capacity of the stadium at the time was 20,000, although only 100 spectators attended Liverpool’s first match at Anfield.
