Super Falcons captain, Rasheedat Ajibade, has said that the players are yet to receive the $100,000 and other entitlements promised by the Federal Government. She recently confirmed that there is a delay in the fulfilment of President Tinubu’s pledge.
Speaking during an interview with Chude Jideonwo, Ajibade disclosed that no Super Falcons player has received anything yet despite several reassurances from the relevant authorities.

“We have not received our money oo. Please, they have not paid. All the promises you heard back and forth, we have not received anything,” she said.
According to her, while they keep hearing that the money and other entitlements have been allocated, nothing has been sent to the players thus far.
Revealing that the promises are yet to be fulfilled, the captain shared that the players haven’t even received their expected match bonuses.
Ajibade concluded by urging the authorities to fulfil their pledges, stressing that the delay is taking a toll on the players.
“People are begging. We have not received it. When they pay it, you will see. Even our match bonuses and everything… everything is still a work in progress,” she added.
