My Kids Are My Priority Henceforth, Not Nollywood – Bolanle Ninalowo

Popular Nollywood actor Bolanle Ninalowo has said that his children are his main priority right now. He recently revealed that his family is his main focus at this point in his life, especially now that his kids are much older.

Speaking during an interview with Potpourri, Bolanle shared that as a father with a 19 year old daughter and a 17 year old son, being present for them is of utmost importance right now.

According to him, he wants to be steadily available for his children to teach them life lessons and help them make better decisions that will positively affect their future.

“Oh, well, my kids are going to college now, my daughter is 19, my son is 17, and I feel like that’s the most important age that I need to be present, and showing them more about life and being there for them, and making life-long decisions into the next chapter of their lives,” he said.

He further noted that the current phase of his life is one that requires intentional sacrifice, stressing that he doesn’t intend to be found wanting as a dad.

Bolanle concluded by saying that his legacy will be his kids, not the movies he makes or features in.

“So I had to make a big sacrifice of saying, look, what’s more important now to me, thank God I made hay while the sun shone.

Like you rightfully said, there was a time I was in almost all movies, you know, at that time, that was what was important to me. My kids were much younger then. Now they’re much grown. And you know, they need my attention a lot more. My legacy is my children, not the films that I make,” he added.
